Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

The Board of Directors of the Hellenic Urological Association, as well as the Organising Committee, are pleased to invite you to the “24th Pan-Hellenic Urology Congresswhich shall take place on October 11th to 14th 2018, in Athens, at the Athenaeum Intercontinental hotel.

The Pan-Hellenic Urology Congress is a significant event that is held every two years and provides a networking opportunity to the top health Urology professionals. The purpose of the Congress is to identify the latest trends, help spread further knowledge through the presentation of the most recent scientific studies, as well as enable the exchange of views and experiences.

The Scientific Committee of the Congress is preparing a four-day scientific programme of a high educational level and interest, with significant presentations and speeches by distinguished and acknowledged speakers. Specifically, the programme focuses on those issues that pose the greatest challenges during day-to-day work in our specialisation, as well as those developments that change the landscape regarding the treatment of our patients. We shall also focus on the youngest members of our community. The congress agenda will include issues related to education, professional and scientific development, as well as lifelong learning, with the aim to provide timely information and ensure that we can deal with the ever-present challenges and opportunities.

By selecting the city of Athens, the Organising Committee can realise its aim to bestow an international character to our Congress, through the co-operations sought and ensured by the Organising Committee, thus marking a turn of the H.U.A. towards the global Urological Community.  This year, apart from the standard presentations by distinguished Greek and foreign speakers, the four-day scientific programme shall also include joint sessions with the Société Internationale d’ Urologie (SIU), the EAU Section of Uro-Technology (ESUT), the International Continence Society (ICS), as well as the established seminar by the European School of Urology (ESU).

We sincerely hope that the event shall once again constitute an information hub and reference point for the diffusion and promotion of scientific developments, as well as the emergence of fruitful co-operation.

We are therefore pleased to invite you to actively participate in the scientific and social events of our Congress, so that you, too, can contribute to the organisation of a very important scientific meeting.

With warm regards,

On behalf of the Organising Committee

Iraklis Poulias

President of the H.U.A. & the 24th Pan-Hellenic Congress
